We have an exciting opportunity for a
Senior Network Engineer to join our fantastic client based in Leicestershire. You will be supporting the company IT & Security network infrastructure & hardware.
The role will be based predominantly on site in Leicestershire, If you are an experienced Network Engineer then this could be the ideal role for you

What you will be doing:

To work with the IT Security team to audit and ensure the security of the networks through regular review, patching, upgrading and monitoring of network devices in order to detect and neutralise network vulnerabilities, and ensure that the performance ofsystems and services hosted on the network is maintained at optimum levels.
Establish, monitor and maintain the network performance and ensure IT system availability and reliability for the business.
You will be responsible for implementing/ guiding the implementation of a variety of business projects which are identified as requirements by the business department or another area of the business as in the above paragraph
Work with established business configurations and network connections, adhering to the business change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and successful changes are made to the network infrastructure
Conceptualise, plan and implement IT & Security projects inline with business briefs provided
Configure and install network devices and services including routers, switches, firewalls and VPN
To be able to react competently and effectively in situations where a system, service, or services require troubleshooting as described above and to provide adhoc support for IT
To be able to work under your own initiative within the organisations policy framework

Required:

Proven experience in handson network engineering position
Good understanding of network security and testing principles
CCNP
You will have a working knowledge of WatchGuard and FortiGate Firewall configurations
Design and implement new solutions and improving resilience across multi location infrastructures
You will have an understanding of TCP/ IP Model
