- Deliver engaging, student-centred teaching across the undergraduate LLB programme, including both core and elective modules.
- Employ innovative and interactive teaching strategies to enhance learning outcomes and student engagement.
- Develop and integrate work-based learning opportunities and employability skills within the curriculum, aligning with the needs of the law profession.
- Advance the Law subject area through effective outreach, the establishment of external partnerships, and participation in knowledge exchange activities.
- Design and plan dynamic modules that reflect current legal practices and theories, ensuring an inclusive and flexible learning environment.
- Actively contribute to curriculum development and review, ensuring the Law programme remains relevant and rigorous.
- Support student success as an Academic Personal Tutor, guiding their academic and professional development.
- Engage in research and scholarship that informs teaching and enriches the student learning experience.
- Participate in and lead initiatives aimed at enhancing student employability, including liaising with legal professionals and organisations.
- Required for Lecturer: LLB (Hons) or equivalent professional qualifications, alongside a relevant teaching qualification, HEA Fellowship, or experience in legal education or training.
- Required for Senior Lecturer: In addition to the above, a Master's degree in Law or related fields, or evidence of advanced professional qualifications. Experience in professional practice, pro-bono work, and leadership in academic or professional settings is highly desirable.
