    Job Description

Are you an imaginative Fundraising Manager with a passion for developing meaningful, multi-dimensional donor relationships?

About Factory International Factory International is the organization behind Manchester International Festival (MIF) and the landmark new cultural space, Aviva Studios, in Manchester. Hosting an ambitious year-round program of original work and unique events, Factory International builds on MIF's legacy, hosting the festival every other year at its new home and other venues across Greater Manchester. Factory International is focused on making Manchester a world-leading destination for art.

    Position Details

    • Job Title: Fundraising Manager
    • Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
    • Location: Hybrid (iconic new Manchester location and home)
    • Contract: Permanent (full-time or 4 days considered)
    • Benefits: 25 days holiday (+ bank holidays), matched 5% employer pension contribution
    • Culture: Based on trust and collaboration, with a supportive line manager

The Ambition Factory International is driven by a commitment to equity, accessibility, and representation. The organization seeks to push the boundaries of art in all its forms, open doors to the sector, challenge traditional thinking around skills development, and refuse to accept the status quo in society. They aim to drive real social change through the arts.

About the Role As the Fundraising Manager, you'll work with creative and visionary philanthropists and donors who want to be part of Factory International's fabric and what it represents for Manchester. Your key responsibility is developing and stewarding relationships from £10,000 upwards, working with both new and existing prospect pools. This includes using data insights, donor intelligence, and exceptional stewardship to increase support and engagement.

About You To excel in this role, you should be a skilled relationship manager who can thrive alongside creatives, artists, and other talented fundraisers. Confidence in networking with high-net-worth individuals and philanthropists, and the ability to make fundraising asks, is essential. Your experience should include:

    • Meeting and exceeding fundraising targets
    • Developing strategic prospect plans
    • Building and nurturing donor relationships
    • Communicating the value of art and its impact on communities

You don't necessarily need an arts background, but you must be able to articulate the transformative power of art. The ideal candidate should have a flexible, life, and family-friendly approach, open to discussing how the role can work with personal circumstances.

Application Process To apply, send your profile or a copy of your CV to Alice Wood at Charity People. Further information about the role and application instructions will be provided upon receipt.

Application Deadline: 9am on Friday, 24th May Interview Dates: To be confirmed

Diversity and Inclusion We actively promote equality, diversity, and inclusion. We aim to match charity needs with the skills and experience of candidates, irrespective of age, disability (including hidden disabilities), gender, gender identity or reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation. Greater diversity leads to even greater results for the charities we work with.
