    Contract Type:
    Full-time , permanent position with options for remote or hybrid working.

    Our client, a global leader in IT solutions for buses and trains, is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with a focus on ETL processes to join their expanding team.

    This role offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to making public transport more attractive and efficient across continents including Europe, America, New Zealand, Australia, and Asia.

    The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining sophisticated ETL pipelines and data integrations that support crucial analytics and business intelligence efforts.

    Develop and manage ETL processes, integrating data from diverse sources into a unified data warehouse.
    Utilise Python and other advanced tools to script and automate data processes.
    Create and manage monitoring solutions with Grafana, and prepare transitions to Loki and Prometheus to enhance data infrastructure.
    Collaborate with global teams on technical aspects of UK projects, focusing on system integration, testing, acceptance, and compliance.
    Coordinate with colleagues, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve project schedules, functions, risk, and cost goals.
    Extensive experience in data engineering with a robust focus on ETL processes and proficiency in Python.
    Experience with BI tools such as Tableau and Microsoft BI, and familiarity with Grafana.
    Proficient in SQL and skilled in data visualisation.
    Willingness to engage in occasional business travel.
