- Responsible for the daytoday linemanagement of operatives ensuring all operatives are always fullybriefed on the works they are undertaking.
- Responsible for ensuring all operatives areequipped with the correct plant equipment tools materials andtraining to carry out works issued with clear and detailedinstructions for each individual project to minimise the numberreturn visits to complete works
- Responsiblefor ensuring operatives understand and follow the project worksprocesses completing on site method statements the job sheet andreport pack obtaining sign off via on site client representativesand providing photography detailing the works carried out includingprestart and completion status
- Responsible forthe project team communications including regular team briefingsand monthly one to one operative check ins
- Ensures daily project reports are completed bysite supervisors to the required standard including detailphotography to illustrate the pre and post works status quantitiesachieved and progress vs programme.
- Seekscontinuous improvement in all aspects of the division
- Coaches and supports the project engineers todeliver exceptional customer service fostering a culture ofselfimprovement whilst identifying additional training needs toimprove operative skill sets and enable careeradvancement
- Increasesturnover and profitability by maximising the relationship withexisting customers and identifies new business opportunities forthe division
- Responsible for managing theproject teams to ensure maximum productivity is achievedcontinually monitoring the output from individual maintenanceoperatives ensuring minimal down time and taking action to avoidaborted journeys
- Responsible for monitoringsupplier costs always seeking best value for NSS stock items andmaterials for project specific works
- Responsiblefor assessing evaluating and responding promptly to client requestsprioritising works in the first instance to ensure clientexpectations are managed accordingly
- Responsible for scheduling of project worksand delivering them on or within programme. Projects range between20k 800k
- Line managing in house projectengineers up to 15no
- Responsible foreffectively monitoring the progress of all works accuratelyrecording all materials externally supplied plant and equipmentsubcontractor labour and the inhouse equipment and resourcesdeployed to ensure works achieve or improve on budgeted costs
- Responsible for the allocation of resources tocover sickness and holidays
- Responsible formanaging the performance of any subcontractors deployed
- Responsible for the team communicationsincluding regular team briefings and one to one operative meetings
- Ensures frequent contact is made with allexisting customers via site visits and post works meetings
- Management responsibility for clientsatisfaction and accountable for rectifying any customer complaints
- Working cohesively with Contracts Director andProject Manager to deliver all projects within cost budgets andprogramme.
