    At Midnight, we prioritize safeguarding sensitive commercial and personal data while championing fundamental freedoms for developers, companies, and individuals.

    Role Overview:

    As a Front-End Software Engineer at Midnight, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining the core systems that power our blockchain platform.

    Join our collaborative development team and contribute to the creation of high-performance systems capable of handling large-scale transactions. Your role will also involve ensuring the security and integrity of our platform, collaborating closely with the security team.


    Responsibilities:
    Design, develop, and maintain our wallet extension
    Collaborate seamlessly with our development team for integrated systems and features
    Work closely with the security team to uphold the integrity and security of our platform
    Write and maintain unit and integration tests for system reliability and correctness
    Troubleshoot and debug issues, implementing effective solutions
    Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions for continuous improvement
    Stay updated with the latest JavaScript/Typescript and blockchain technology developments to enhance our platform


    Key Competencies:
    Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or Typescript programming language and its ecosystem
    Proficiency in using at least one of the following frameworks or libraries: React, Vue, or Angular
    Solid understanding of CSS fundamentals, experience with CSS preprocessors like Sass or LESS
    Experience consuming APIs
    Familiarity with blockchain technology and its core concepts
    Proficiency in writing and maintaining unit and integration tests
    Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile methodologies
    Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, security experts, and product owners


    Education / Experience:
    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
    Proven experience as a Front-End Engineer
    Experience in developing and maintaining high-performance applications using TypeScript and React
    Experience with blockchain technology is a plus
    Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment
    Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

    Location

    IOG is a fully distributed organization but due to team distribution, we require someone to be based either in Ireland, the UK or Poland.
