    Job Description

    Network Architect

    The Network Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising network solutions that meet the specific needs of our customers. This role involves close collaboration with customers to understand their business requirements, translating those requirements into technical solutions, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality network services. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in network architecture and a keen focus on customer satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Work directly with customers to gather requirements and understand their business goals
    • Be a trusted advisor to the most senior levels of client organisations
    • Provide expert advice and guidance on network solutions to meet customer needs
    • Conduct regular meetings with customers to review network performance and address any issues or improvements
    • Design scalable, secure, and robust network architectures tailored to customer specifications
    • Develop detailed network design documents, diagrams, and project plans
    • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to network engineering teams
    • Conduct network performance assessments and recommend optimisations
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices

    In addition to the above duties and responsibilities the post holder must be prepared to undertake such additional duties which may result from changing circumstances, but which may not of necessity change the general character or level of responsibility to the post.

    Qualifications

    Essential;

    • Extensive experience of enterprise network architecture and design
    • Extensive experience of enterprise network management
    • Extensive experience of Cisco, Meraki and Juniper switching, routing and firewalls
    • Proficiency in network design and architecture tools
    • Proven experience in customer-facing roles, with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction

    Desirable;

    • Relevant certifications such as CCIE, JNCIE, or similar are highly desirable
    • SC clearance held

    Interpersonal Skills;

    • Articulate and a clear communicator
    • Be a customer advocate
    • Have the ability to converse technical terms and definitions to non-technical personnel
    • Meticulous with excellent attention to detail
    • Able to multitask and handle large amounts of complex information
    Additional Information

    Additional Information

    • Must have the right to live and work in the UK.
    • Due to our location, access to own transport is essential.
    • Must meet Security Clearance vetting requirements as this is a requirement of the role.
    • Any offer would be conditional upon the successful candidate passing a full SC vetting process.
