    If you are looking for a Director of Enterprise Architecture within a brilliant company who place great emphasis on their people, then look no further.

    This Hybrid working Director of Enterprise Architecture position will afford you the opportunity to adopt and build a best in class function to satisfy the 5 year business roadmap.

    This role reports to CIO and will be pivotal in defining strategy, building and architectural roadmap and showing value to stakeholders across the business.

    We are definitively looking for a DoEA who has experience across an organisation's technology estate and not just one or two functions within it.

    The incumbent for this role will need to be a highly effective communicator with a personality that displays a high level of dynamism.

    The core of this Director of Enterprise Architecture is to:

    • Establish an architecture roadmap to implement the architecture strategy, advising on the business cases for technology projects, such as platform upgrades or consolidation and data architecture rationalisation, supporting our IT Renewal programme.
    • To be responsible for the implementation, tracking and development of the application portfolio, applying application life cycle strategies for acquisition, enhancement, replacement, consolidation and retirement of applications, as well as ensuring architectural reuse, consistency and integrity within the application portfolio
    • Be accountable for defining a data architecture and design policy, standard and methods and for embedding data architecture as a discipline across our projects and programmes.
    • To partner with the teams within CIO to lead the development and governance of all technology and data standards, methodologies and tools.

    You will also:

    • Engage with key vendors (e.g. Oracle, Salesforce, Microsoft etc) to understand and incorporate their roadmaps into the overall IT architectural strategy.
    • Build a top performing team to encompass all aspects of architecture to drive enterprise alignment and consistency
    • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to architect, prototype and drive the implementation of various projects and programmes both inside and outside of the PortfolioThe role offers excellent benefits which give you a work life balance and demonstrate their commitment to their staff. The salary base of £140 - £145k is complimented with a bonus between 20 and 40%This role is not in financial services but does handle well over a trillion transactions a year to give you a view of size and scope.

    We are looking to move quickly with this role but given the level of responsibility there will be at least 3 interviews with at least 2 being face to face at their newly refurbished London offices (SE1).This is one of those rare opportunities to get really excited about and I look forward to discussing the role with you.
