- Formulate testing and characterization methods for silicon carbide power semiconductor devices to analyze their reliability and failure mechanisms during operation.
- Plan and oversee statistical studies and experimental designs to assess device reliability, such as gate oxide lifetime marathon tests and time-dependent dielectric breakdown.
- Create screening and burn-in protocols for SiC power devices to fulfill product quality standards.
- Take charge of and contribute to development initiatives, delivering findings to senior management and external stakeholders, including non-technical teams.
- Enhance comprehension of device applications and power systems to develop product solutions that offer greater value to customers.
- Define requirements for reliability testing tools and manage their development.
- Work closely with both internal and external partners, including Technology Development, Quality Assurance, and academic collaborators.
- A Ph.D. or Master's degree in electronics engineering, physics, or a related microelectronics discipline;
- Minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience in semiconductor technology;
- Expertise in conducting reliability tests on SiC MOSFETs and diodes at both wafer and package levels;
- Solid grasp of statistical analysis and experimental design;
- Familiarity with semiconductor TCAD tools for device simulation, e.g., Synopsys Sentaurus, Silvaco Victory;
- Background in electronics engineering to comprehend systems in power electronics;
- Outstanding problem-solving abilities – capable of identifying issues and opportunities for enhancement, and assessing viable resolutions, developing and executing comprehensive action plans;
- Proficiency in managing multiple tasks concurrently, including prioritization;
- Effective communication skills, especially conveying technical expertise;
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork aptitude, able to establish rapport with Operations and cross-functional colleagues, fostering collaborative relationships.
