    Description

    The Deputy Director of Data & Analyticsrole provides the opportunity to be part of a change to the way we deliverhealth and care services across Dorset Integrated Care System; we need agreater focus on prevention, reducing health inequalities by providingequitable access, outcomes and experience, joining up pathways for the benefitof the users and ensuring care is delivered by the right person, in the rightplace at the right time.

    Population Health Management is key to this approach;we need to ensure we have the correct data sets, use all the data we haveavailable well and adopt a data driven approach to planning and delivery ofhealth and care.

    Therole is responsible to the Deputy Chief Analytical Officer (DCAO) for theleadership of the Dorset Intelligence & Insight Service (DiiS) and itsongoing service to programmes and teams throughout the ICB and wider ICS.

    Digital change within the NHS is gatheringpace, and a key pillar in delivering change across an Integrated Care System isdata & analytics, specifically advanced analytics and data science.

    This role represents an opportunityto join an established Integrated Care Board at a senior leadership level withscope to make a difference to the way we deliver services in Dorset and impactoutcomes for patients.

    The work is varied, and in an ever-changing health andsocial care landscape a pragmatic and flexible attitude is essential.

    You will enjoy working in a busy and fastpaced environment with competing priorities and deadlines, identifying anddriving programmes across ICS partners to continue the move to data driven organisationsand analytically focused decision making.

    You will be able to demonstrate experience ofdelivering change projects in complex organisations. You will be wellorganised, flexible, and analytical.

    You will have an excellent understandingof the delivery of effective business intelligence and the associated researchand analysis to develop output and models that support decision making.

    The DeputyDirector of Data and Analytics provides the opportunity to be part of achange to the way we deliver health and care services in Dorset ICS;

    As a seniorleader, this role will be instrumental in developing data services and businessintelligence.

    You will contribute to and deliver the ICS data strategy andensure the realisation of its benefits, continuing Dorsets transition fromdata-rich to actionable intelligence-driven, supported by cutting-edge datascience and automation.

    Extensive experience of leadership and achievement in a relevant field in a large, complex environment.

    Extensive, significant experience of formulating long term, organisation-wide strategic plans and development of projects resulting in positive value for money outcomes.

    Significant experience of managing and prioritising a large budget with solid knowledge of financial process requirements
    Experience of working with multiple organisational units with sometimes opposing objectives to gain consensus.
    Track record of effective engagement and partnership working with senior internal and external stakeholders.
    ability to undertake and lead on complex analytical problems and projects.
    Knowledge of information governance principles and data quality assurance.
    In depth knowledge in underlying data structures required to support healthcare
    Ability to develop policy and procedures in a particular specialist technical area.

    Ability to analyse, synthesise and interpret highly complex data, filtering and interpreting often conflicting information, to develop Trust-wide policy.

    Strong drive for performance and improvement.
    Flexible and resilient approach, able to work under pressure.
    Flexible approach to work, with willingness to support and develop colleagues.
    Evidence of the ability to enthuse, motivate and involve individuals and teams to deliver best performance.
