    EMPLOYMENT TAXES CONSULTANT

    Dains are expanding their busy and successful Employment Services team and are recruiting an Employment Taxes Consultant in Birmingham.

    All members of our exceptional team have contact with clients and develop skills not just in relation to the technicalities around tax but also in how to interact with clients, scope, and price work, produce good oral and written advice, solve client problems, and manage the firm's risks.

    Dains is ranked 31st in the National Accountancy Age ranking by firm size and was the fastest-growing firm within the surveyed top 100 accountancy firms in the UK. The team is now over 650 people strong with offices throughout the UK and Ireland.

    Our core services are Accountancy & Business Services, Audit, Corporate Finance, Forensic Accounting, and Taxation alongside outsourced FD and HR support.     Main Responsibilities as Tax Consultant:


    • You will be involved in the completion of statutory employment taxes returns and relevant calculations.
    • You will be working alongside junior members of staff and offering support and guidance.
    • You will undertake tax research and using this research to formulate advice for clients.
    • You will be supporting managers on client projects.
    • Maintain reports to a high standard.
    • You will be responsible for ensuring clients understand advice and guidance and answer any questions they have.
    • Attend client and internal meetings and write up meeting notes


    Personal Attributes:


    • You must be self-motivated and driven with a positive and willing work ethic.
    • You will be able to build strong and effective relationships with clients and hold a professional approach.
    • You will need to demonstrate resilience and confidence taking on new challenges.
    • Ability to prioritise own workload and outcome focused and meet tight deadlines.
    • You must be a confident on Excel and common tax software's within the market.



    Skills and Qualifications:



    • ATT qualified.
    • Have a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience within Employment Tax or another Tax discipline.
    • Present strong communication skills, both written and oral.
    • Strong mathematic skills and present strong analytical and methodical skills
    • Present good knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
