- Coordinate and manage the end-to-end ocean export process, ensuring timely and efficient shipment of goods.
- Prepare and process necessary export documentation, including shipping instructions, customs documents, and compliance paperwork.
- Liaise with customers, overseas agents, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
- Arrange bookings with shipping lines, negotiate rates, and monitor shipment schedules.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, customs requirements, and international trade laws.
- Track and monitor shipments, providing real-time updates to customers and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Handle any customer inquiries or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales, warehouse, and finance, to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
- Previous experience as an Ocean Export Operator or in a similar role within the logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of ocean export procedures, documentation, and regulations.
- Familiarity with shipping lines, carriers, and freight forwarding practices.
- Proficient in using shipping software and systems for booking and tracking shipments.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Problem-solving skills to address any issues or challenges that may arise during the shipping process.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of customs regulations and international trade compliance is desirable.
