- Provide support to teachers in planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
- Lead small group interventions and one-on-one support sessions, helping students to overcome barriers to learning and achieve academic success.
- Assist with the assessment and tracking of student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and senior leaders to inform intervention strategies and support plans.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs, working closely with the SENCO and other members of the SEND team.
- Support the delivery of extracurricular activities, enrichment programs, and school events, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment both inside and outside the classroom.
- Provide pastoral support to students, offering guidance, encouragement, and support with social-emotional development and well-being as needed.
- A minimum of a Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent, demonstrating a strong understanding of educational theory and practice.
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA in a school setting, preferably at the secondary level, and a thorough understanding of the UK curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers, fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and learning, with a desire to contribute to the ongoing improvement of teaching and learning practices within the school.
