In support of unprecedented growth, PwC's Consulting practice currently has a vacancy in its FS Enterprise Transformation team for a Senior Manager who will help play a leading role in the Asset Management & Asset Servicing sector team, working with leading players within Private Investment Markets.

Enterprise Transformation (ET) is at the centre of designing and implementing multi competency changes at the heart of our clients' organisations through designing and implementing the right enterprise operating model or supporting them on their most complex of change programmes.

As part of a specialist team, within the wider Financial Services cluster, you will be encouraged to initiate and develop new ideas. Our highly motivated team has an excellent track record of delivering high quality work to major international clients and has ambitious growth plans.

Our Clients / The Market

As a Senior Manager you are expected to manage your time between leading engagements, developing services to take to market and supporting business development in the Asset Management and Servicing area.

Our client base covers a breadth of organisations spanning: Traditional and Alternative Fund Managers, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Fund Service Providers (Administrators, Transfer Agents, Depositaries), Prime Brokers and Custodians. These are primarily large multinational organisations who are leaders in their respective markets.

Our engagements are consistently part of the global asset management agenda, supporting our clients through fundamental changes in their businesses and positively affecting the lives of people all over the world. Sample engagements include:

• Design and build of the world's largest Private Equity Fund (awarded the Management Consulting Association's Change Project of the Year)
• Current state operating model review for a leading global Private Equity Fund, leading to the implementation of workflow automation through their deals process
• Design and build of a target operating model for a newly established Sovereign Wealth Fund, with the objective of diversifying state wealth away from depleting oil and gas revenues
• Strategic review of a leading Private Equity firm's fund operating platform, to support them to define their fund operating platform of the future
• Review of the operational procedures of a start-up alternative asset manager

Responsibilities

• Client
• Lead/support entire engagements which involve designing enterprise operating models and delivering enterprise transformation change projects to a high standard
• Ensure the engagements are staffed appropriately, manage day to day issues and deliverables are of the very highest quality
• Identify client needs and lead/manage proposals to bring our solutions to them
• Be responsible for managing the financial aspects and achieving the core business KPIs of the engagement
• Build trusted relationships with the client engagement sponsors and stakeholders

• Be a role model / coach for more junior consultants and for our clients' people
• Be mindful of your own, and support colleagues' well-being
• Build strong relationships within the firm and across services lines

• Maintain your knowledge of developments in the Asset Management industry
• Become a subject matter expert in at least 3-5 areas within asset management and asset servicing and be able to talk confidently about at least one of: front; middle or back office operating models

Requirements

Joining our team as a Senior Manager, we would expect you to have very strong experience of operating model design and large change projects preferably within a consulting environment or leading asset management focused business. You will have been able to demonstrate a track record of high-quality design and delivery success in the work you have undertaken to date and be able to articulate the business benefits of the work.

• Operating Model / Programme Lead with good business knowledge across the Asset Management value chain - Front Office, Middle Office as well as Back Office within the context of Private Investment Markets.
• Strong track record of >7 years as an Operating Model Lead for large complex asset management projects involving market-leading asset management core systems as well as Stakeholder Management.
• Target Operating Model Design and Implementation in relation to Alternative Asset Managers, including structured business analysis, functional decomposition, sourcing model, data model, organisational model as well as high level technical architecture.
• Robust knowledge of Private Markets platforms - such as eFront, Mercatus, Yardi and MRI (including strengths & weaknesses of platforms, data solutions and current market trends).
• Strong knowledge of the PMO function, for example, planning, status reporting, SteerCo reporting.

Additional favourable areas or experience

• It is likely that your work will be part of wider transformational programmes and hence experience in delivering other competencies (Digital Services, Cloud Transformation, Regulatory) is desirable.
• Experience working in a program management role on a large transformation project in Asset Management such as outsourcing middle/back office to a third party.
• Attainment of additional professional qualifications, for example, CAIA or PRINCE2.
