Technical Advisor - Solar Mounting Solutions


Location:
Aldermaston, Berkshire


Salary:
£20-25,000k per ann + 30 Days Holiday, Bupa, Pension


Role Summary:

We are working in partnership with a global expert in providing mounting solutions to the solar industry globally, who now seek an office based junior technical advisor to join their team in Berkshire

My client specialises in the development and production of high-quality components for photovoltaic systems. They design their own systems and continually adapt in an ever-changing market.

They are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual witha willingness to learn new skills and integrate seamlessly into the hardworking team that they already have in place.


Responsibilities:


  • Create designs for Solar PV mounting systems for roof top installations using our own software (full training will be given) in addition to other calculation spreadsheets
  • To intelligently select and design a mounting solution suitable for the installation site while being mindful of customer requirements
  • Regularly preparing quotes and order confirmations within defined timeframes
  • To provide support to Sales, Planning and Project Management teams when required
  • Confidently liaise with other departments within the business, both in the UK and Germany, including Logistics, Supply Chain and Accounts.
  • Occasional help on exhibition stands within the UK and Germany
  • Training will be provided, and the company aim for you to grow with the business and develop your skills and knowledge in the renewables sector

Skillsrequired:


  • Familiarity with the Solar Industry or a relevant construction environment
  • Ideally BSc degree qualified but not essential
  • Proactive with strong organisational skills, able to prioritise and manage several tasks concurrently
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in written form
  • Working knowledge of MSOffice Suite Packages is essential
  • Ability to extrapolate relevant data from CAD files or design PDFs
  • Ability to communicate and interpret needs effectively
  • Attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills
  • Flexibility and motivation to work crossfunctionally in a rapidly growing business
  • Passion for renewable energy and the environment
