    Senior Data Management Professional - Data Engineering - Classifications
    Bloomberg runs on data.

    In Data, we are responsible for delivering this data, news and analytics through innovative technology - quickly and accurately.

    The Classifications team is responsible for creating and maintaining the classifications that organize companies and securities into peer groups based on similar business activities and risks.

    When our clients analyze peer groups, compare investment security options, or browse historical market trends, classification data is one of the most integral parts of comparing data irregularities among competitors.

    Collect and assess the impact of global, regional or local industry trends on a portfolio
    Analyze sector and industry contributions to portfolio performance

    As a Classifications Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for improving the consistency, quality, and timely delivery of classification data across various asset types by implementing technological improvements.

    You will use and build additional business intelligence to ensure we are meeting targets.

    Understand financial markets and client needs to drive classification product strategies
    Use technical skills to evaluate and apply sound statistical methods, programming and machine learning approaches to promote and measure data quality, generate insights, extract information, and build newsworthy content
    Maintain workflow configurations for critical functions such as worklist management and quality control
    Develop interconnected data models that enable analysis across datasets
    Collaborate extensively with internal partners (primarily Core Product, Financial Solutions, News, and Engineering) to propose, develop and implement market leading solutions for our clients
    A bachelor's degree, preferably with combined studies in Information Systems and Finance or related business and STEM fields
    Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau or QlikSense
    Completion of a Data Automated Services course
    Project management skills and ability to prioritize and adapt to tasks accordingly
    Experience working with an Agile development methodology such as Scrum
    Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Natural language Processing, Machine Learning
