    Responsibilities

    You will oversee the development and maintenance of technical documentation for a suite of software applications used in oil and gas exploration geophysical data analysis. Your content scope will cover procedure manuals, technical specifics, and process documentation.

    Collaborating closely with software engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts, you will contribute to cutting-edge software development handling the complete geophysical data lifecycle – from acquisition through processing, interpretation, to client delivery.

    This role presents an exciting opportunity to establish best practices and standards for crafting procedures, processes, and templates within the business, while producing technical documentation.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Compile, organize, draft, and revise content for procedure manuals, technical specifics, and process documentation.
    • Collaborate with various functions (local and remote), including subject matter experts, project managers, and developers to grasp documentation needs.
    • Obtain a deep understanding of our offerings, simplifying complex information into clear, engaging content.
    • Create high-quality, relevant documentation suitable for the target audience.
    • Assess existing content and innovate for enhancement.

    Location: East Leake, Loughborough

    Working Hours: Monday-Friday; 36.25 hours weekly.

    Qualifications
    • Bachelors/Masters in Technical Communications, English, Training, or related field.
    • Over 2 years of technical writing experience.
    • Excellent written English communication skills.
    • Capability to independently plan, structure, and craft content.
    • Experience in creating documentation for diverse audiences.
    • Collaborative experience with engineers to enhance user experience, refine content, and produce technical support visuals and diagrams.
    • Prior involvement in documenting software linked to engineering disciplines is advantageous.
