    Job Description:

    Oliver Sanderson is engaged with a leading multinational Manufacturing business with a fantastic UK arm that you will be helping to lead as a Head of Payroll and Pensions. This role reports to the Global HR Director and will manage a team of 10.

    You will lead the development and maintenance of the payroll function and will oversee the provision of pension data to ensure it is accurate and up to date.

    You will also lead on all basic payroll responsibilities, processes and procedures as well as leading on the implementation of the annual pay review cycle and management bonus plan across the organisation.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Manage and lead the Payroll Team.
    2. Ensure high-quality and cost-effective payroll services for the entire employee lifecycle.
    3. Establish and maintain procedures and controls to guarantee accurate payroll processing.
    4. Interpret legislative changes and provide payroll advice to staff.
    5. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and year-end procedures.
    6. Oversee pension plans and packages.
    7. Lead the implementation of annual pay review cycles.
    8. Manage bonus plans across the organisation.
    9. Ensure all compensation and benefit practices comply with relevant employment laws.
    10. Build and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners to secure favorable contracts and services.

    Our client is looking for someone with extensive technical payroll and pension experience, including processing payroll, managing pension contributions, and ensuring compliance with regulations. You must understand the complexities of the payroll and the procedures and processes involved.

    You will have a proven track record of effectively leading and developing teams and have strong communication skills. Proficiency with payroll software systems, HRIS, and other relevant technology is essential.

    You should also be comfortable using spreadsheet software for data analysis and reporting and have strong financial acumen.

    The client is open to candidates from the following sectors: Construction, Energy Services, Manufacturing, Mechanical & Electrical Services, Facilities, Engineering, Utilities and Logistics, or similar.
