    Description
    About the Role Colchester Medical Practice are looking to appoint a clinical coder and QOF administrator to join our experienced and expanding coding/QOF team, on a part time basis for 20-25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. (We also have a job share available for the same position for 15 hours a week, working Tuesday and Wednesday, job number When applying please state how many hours between 20-25 hours you would like to work. We operate across 5 sites, this role will be based at Castle Gardens Medical Centre. Your main duties and areas of responsibility will be:
  • Coding clinical documents accurately and within a 48 hour timescale.
  • Forwarding clinical documents to clinicians following practice protocol.
  • Carrying out clinical document follow-up actions, following practice protocol.
  • Quality Outcomes Framework (QOF) - you will be responsible for allocating QOF clinical indicators, achieving targets for the practice.
  • About the Candidate

    The qualities we are looking for to fulfil this role include:

  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to work to a high standard and at a fast pace.
  • Ability to manage your own workload, but have the support of the coding/QOF team and line manager.
  • A team player, flexible and able to cover when team members are on annual leave or sick.
  • Candidates who have experience in clinical coding/QOF/EMIS Web clinical system, would be preferred, although we welcome applications from candidates with NHS or primary care experience in similar roles.
