    Description
    The undertaking of analysis and design of bridge and retaining wall structures in reinforced concrete, and steel. To provide technical analysis expertise and experience-based leadership within a small design team.

    Working as part of a team and reporting to the team leader, the successful candidate will be key in developing junior staff whilst maintaining high standards in their own work.

    To prepare, design, plan, programme highway structures works and services.

    • To provide clear and effective project leadership.
    • To assist in the management and monitoring of works programmes or services.
    • To mentor junior staff in the delivery of structural design and development of highway structures schemes
    • To assist in budgetary control and ensure that financial management is undertaken throughout areas of responsibility.
    • Working knowledge of preparation of contract specifications, use of MCHW
    • Extensive knowledge and application of Highway Legislation, relevant structures design procedures, standards and good practice.
