We are looking for a hard working and motivated nurse, that is excited about working and developing their skills within clinical research.
Our team has a very busy portfolio with a wide range of studies, requiring dedicated staff, committed to supporting our participants and research.
Main duties of the jobEmployed as a staff nurse to facilitate the research pathway for participants in clinical trials. Will be directly involved in:
Fulfil the expectations and capabilities as delegated by the Sponsor, Chief Investigator or Principal Investigator as set out in GCP & Research Governance Framework
Work collaboratively with OUH service delivery colleagues to ensure high quality participant care and experience.
You will be responsible for assessing and managing the care pathways for patients and carers participating in clinical studies focused mainly on Ageing, Dementias and Neurology.
You will work collaboratively with the clinical trials team and the wider multi-disciplinary team in the management of your own caseload of clinical trial patients.
Working for our organisationOur team is part of Division Neurology, Mental Health, Ageing and Neurodegenerative diseases with the Thames Valley and South Midlands area.
We are a diverse team of research nurses, practitioners and administrators. Working closely with clinicians to support and deliver research across our patient groups. The team comes from a variety of backgrounds such as Nursing, Mental Health, Psychology, Biochemistry and NHS to name a few.
The CRN: Thames Valley and South Midlands is one of local Clinical Research Networks in the NIHR Clinical Research Network (NIHR CRN). The NIHR CRN is the clinical research delivery arm of the NHS in England, tasked with supporting the rapid set-up and effective conduct of studies, so that researchers can gather the robust evidence needed to improve treatments for NHS patients. These local Networks drive clinical research delivery performance across the locality, and champion the role of clinical research in the NHS at every level.
