    Head of Physical Education - Leading Hackney Secondary School

    EdEx - Education Recruitment are exclusively working with a "Good" graded secondary school in Hackney to find a Head of Physical Education. We are looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic and down to earth teacher to join the schools Outstanding PE department. This is a permanent contract position directly employed via the school (no supply or short term), starting in September 2024.

    SCHOOL DETAILS - Head of Physical Education:

    • Graded "Good" in latest Ofsted Report (2022)

    • Student behaviour is good, and you are able to make your own decisions with behaviour challenges, SLT listen and respect your opinion
    • Inner London Payscale (inner London weighting)
    • Open to MPS1 - UPS3 Teacher + HOD TLR - £36,745 - £56,959 + HOD TLR (TLR1A, £9453)
    • Located in the borough of Hackney
    • SLT are strong, supportive and open-minded - positive change is common, but never for the "sake of change"
    • PE department is well-resourced, with a great blend of experienced and "more junior" teachers - ECTs for example as well as UPS teachers
