Additionally, the SENCO will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and coordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability within our specialist SEN base.
The SENCO will also provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents, and other agencies.
The successful candidate must have a strategic overview of provision for pupils with SEN, monitoring and reviewing the quality of provision through the use of agreed methodologies. Furthermore, the SENCO will contribute to the school's self-evaluation, particularly with respect to provision for pupils with SEN or a disability. Our SEN base provides a fully equipped environment tailored for students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), featuring specialist classrooms, sensory rooms, and dedicated IT facilities. Additionally, you'll have access to our school's state-of-the-art facilities and resources.
Located in Sutton, with convenient access to London and surrounding areas, our school offers a supportive community environment and numerous professional development opportunities, including our comprehensive CPD programme and cross-trust collaborations.
We are seeking an ambitious, creative, and collaborative individual who is passionate about supporting students' learning and development. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to continual professional growth, innovative teaching methods, and fostering positive relationships with students and colleagues alike.
We are dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. You will have a safeguarding responsibility if appointed.
