    Job Description

    An excellent opportunity for an individual with experience leading finance in a Multi-Academy Trust to take on a strategic role overseeing all financial matters within a Trust growing through an exciting period of growth.

    You'll ensure full compliance with regulations, manage financial controls and procedures, and lead the finance service for all schools within the Trust. Your responsibilities include providing strategic advice to senior leaders, preparing budgets, and delivering annual accounts in accordance with statutory requirements and the Academy Trust Handbook.

    As the Group Finance Director, you'll manage the finance department, maintain relationships with stakeholders, and oversee financial governance and risk management arrangements. You'll ensure timely and accurate accounting records, prepare financial returns, and manage the Trust's annual reports. Additionally, you'll develop and refine long-term financial strategies, drive change in financial policies and procedures, and maintain current policies and procedures for the Trust.

    You will ensure the smooth running of our finance office, motivating and supporting staff, and promoting the highest standards of courtesy and mutual respect within our Trust community. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the security and integrity of our financial data and contributing to the ongoing success and development of our Trust.

    Over the next 12 months, the Trust is anticipated to double in size with both Primary and Secondary Academies joining the group - taking them to over 10 Schools. As such, this opportunity would suit a qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) accountant working in at a senior level in a larger Trust and looking to progress into a no.1 Finance role.

    This is a permanent role offering a salary of c.£75,000 with a 3-4 days a week on site.
