    Principal Data ScientistWest London, UK (3/4 days per week in office)Up to £100,000 Salary My Client is a Major UK travel giant hiring for a Principal Data Scientist to join their well-established Data Science function, spearheading a range of commercially applicable Machine Learning projects As a Principal Data Scientist, you will be leading a small team of Data Scientists on a range of ML projects, solving commercial challenges through a variety of Machine Learning techniques.

    Your responsibilities as a Principal Data Scientist will include but not be limited to:
    Solve operational challenges & problems through a variety of Machine Learning techniques.
    Lead a small team of Data Scientists on commercially applicable Data Science projects.
    Leverage a breadth of operational Data Science techniques and models to deliver key projects for the Data Science team.
    Reviewing code and implementing data science best practises Mentor more junior team members and engage with senior business stakeholders.

    A successful Principal Data Scientist will have the following:
    Min.

    5 years commercial experience as a Data Scientist, including in a Lead or Tech Lead position with mentorship/ team leadership experience.

    Background in core and fundamental Data Science practises Strong exposure solving operational and commercial challenges through Data Science & Machine Learning.

    Strong stakeholder management skills Preferably background in operations/ operational research and solving challenges in operations.
