    Description

    Morrison Energy Services is recruiting for a Project Engineer to work on our Transmission Networks Contract onprojects across the UK.

    As a Project Engineer you will be part of our OHL Delivery Teams who are responsible for managing individual projects; with a brief to ensure on-time delivery within defined budgets, without compromise on safety or quality .

    As the Project Engineer your responsibilities will include:
    Reporting to the Project/Site Manager (project dependent) on all day-to-day commercial and operational issues
    Responsible to Operations Manager on all commercial, operational, and technical delivery issues
    Ensure Construction Phase Health & Safety Plans and Quality Plans are in place for all operational sites and contribute to the development of policies and procedures as may be required
    method statements, work instructions, risk assessments, etc
    all transport and fleet issues relating to the Transmission Networks business.
    surveys, design, environmental consultants, utilities, services, etc.
    Work closely with the Head of Operations/Resource Managers to co-ordinate and allocate appropriate resource levels across projects to ensure efficient utilisation of the resource pool
    Close liaison with Site Manager/Project Manager to ensure compliance with and delivery of contractual obligations
    Work with the Planning and Commercial teams to monitor project progress and recommending changes as required
    Capture events impacting costs and programmes in order to timely update project status and forecasts
    Ensure contract changes/compensation events are captured, ensuring that impact evaluation on costs and schedules is undertaken with the Commercial team
    Using the implemented project control mechanism, improve the efficiency and enhance the profitability of projects, including debt management
    Produce Monthly Contract Review reports
    Produce Project Closeout Reports
    Attend MES and client contract review/progress meetings on a regular basis

    Ensure timely, accurate and compliant time bookings, out allowance and expenses are submitted for all employees within area of responsibility.

    In accordance with our certification to the ISO 9001/14001/45001 standards, each employee will comply with and contribute to the effective implementation of the current policies
    Ability to communicate with and support cross-departmental initiatives to maximise efficiency and productivity whilst building confidence and respect from each department
    Ability to develop budgets and forecasts, plan and programme resources and activities and implement KPIs across numerous projects in order to deliver projects efficiently
    Ability to demonstrate effective prioritisation, time management and workload planning skills
    Be able to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of UK power transmission markets, clients, and regulatory bodies
    Be able to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of contract/project management within infrastructure construction and refurbishment projects.
    Must have a Full UK Driving Licence
