Description

We are looking for a MAINTENANCE ENGINEER to work within the manufacturing/production departments of our market-leading Mildenhall based client.

The MAINTENANCE ENGINEER is vital to our clients' Lathe Area department, which is a fast-paced environment, operating 16 multi-spindle lathe machines on a 24/7 basis.

Our client is keen to provide full on the job training and guidance to allow the right candidate to grow within the team.

Your duties will include:

To assist the Lathe Area by maintaining 16 Multispindle Lathe machines, plus ancillary equipment
To diagnose faults
To strip down machines and equipment when necessary and replace worn/broken parts
To complete and update tasks using software
To support and assist with Service Engineer visits
To make sure there is the required stock of spare parts to maintain production 24/7

Your experience is/will be:

Experience in using a wide range of general workshop machinery and equipment
Familiar with production machinery, particularly Lathe machines
As least 3 years experience of performing a maintenance role within a production environment, especially on a shift type basis
Capable of stripping down machines to replace items such as bearings, conveyor belts
Able to work outside of normal working hours as and when necessary
Have strong communication skills

The hours of work are 40-45 hours per week and our client can be flexible regarding start and finishing times, but would typically be Monday to Friday. The salary range is £36,500 - £40,000 per year.
