    Description

    Staff Engineer/Architect

    Are you a seasoned expert in Python backend software architecture?

    Imagine propelling your career to new heights in a pivotal senior leadership role with a globally renowned Investment Bank.

    As an architect for the Private Markets domain you will collaborate with business partners to understand priorities and objectives. You will be using your knowledge and thought leadership to drive the technology innovation agenda for the business domain.

    Another key task will be to translate business priorities and into a strategic reference architecture and technology roadmaps and create principles and policies that ensure the architecture aligns with the business and technology strategy

    Your core knowledge will ideally include:

    • Experience engaging with business stakeholders at different levels to develop and gain support for proposed solutions
    • Experienced at developing reference architectures to align business, solution designers and engineers
    • An experienced technologist with a strong understanding of emerging and cloud technologies
    • Proven track record in Software Architect / Principal Developer roles
    • Proficiency in backend software engineering, with a strong preference for Python
    • In-depth knowledge of distributed systems and public cloud technologies
    • Familiarity with various elements of our technology stack (Flask, SQLAlchemy, Pandas, REST APIs, MySQL and NoSQL Databases, RabbitMQ, Docker, Linux, AWS ECS Serverless, AWS Lambda)
