The technology and market data procurement department are responsible for achieving value for the firm in the execution of a budget in the hundreds of millions of pounds annually.
We are looking for a candidate with technology and/or financial data experience to support and build out our IT and data capability globally.
Competency in commercial aspects of IT and/or financial data procurement is necessary, and previous exposure to novel datasets and low-latency technologies and concepts for trading purposes is strongly desirable.
The scope of the role is procuring computer hardware, financial data, network connectivity, datacentre services, enterprise on-prem and cloud software licenses/services and professional services.
Research, negotiate and procure IT hardware and enterprise software, financial data, and technology services.Technical project management and delivery (e.g., datacentre, exchange connectivity, data, and network services).
Hardware and enterprise software asset lifecycle management.
Cost reconciliation and spend analysis.
Financial data administration and reporting.
Proven ability to manage supply chains to achieve beneficial logistical outcomes for the firm.
Proven ability to reduce costs using a variety of procurement techniques, from formal tender processes through to more innovative methods.
Proven ability to interpret and negotiate beneficial terms in legal documents.Sufficient technical knowledge to consult on the types of technology or data being procured, and independently research and suggest alternatives.
Capable of evaluating all options against all technical, commercial, logistical, risk etc and recommending the best option to the firm.
Highly productive, and capable of reacting quickly to changing requirements in a fast-moving environment.Approximately 3 to 6 years of experience in IT Infrastructure and Services and/or Financial, Economic and Alternative Data sectors, ideally a domain expert in at least one discipline.
Bachelor's degree in an analytical discipline or equivalent practical experience.Proven experience of Procurement processes, including running sourcing activities such as RFPs.
Contract and commercial negotiation.
Project management experience in delivering technical services is desirable.
