    Key Competencies and Underpinning Knowledge:

    • Experience on significant Infrastructure projects, especiallyManufacturing, Process & Industrial.
    • Understanding of theCost drivers that define a project and ability to convert engineeringdata into meaningful cost drivers.
    • Understanding of allaspects of direct and indirect Costs.
    • Communication andinterpersonal skills, with the ability to present cost work concisely.
    • Ability to challenge colleagues in a constructive manner toachieve positive outcomes.
    • Ability to interact effectivelywith colleagues in many different disciplines involved in our ClientsProgramme.
    • Familiarity of government initiatives andpolicies.
    • Sound understanding of relevant AACE RP's andestimate classification.
    • Ability to collate and utiliseinternal and external project benchmarking data.

    Responsibilities:

    • Single point of contact for all ourclient's infrastructure costs, working closely with the EstimatingManagement team to implement and maintain Cost Management andEstimating systems to ensure accurate reporting, benchmarking, andanalysis of our clients' infrastructure costs.
    • Supportimplementation of accurate Cost measurement processes includingprogress and performance measurement.
    • Provide professionaladvice covering our clients' infrastructure costs to stakeholders(including but not limited to Procurement Specialists, Cost / ContractManagement Personnel, Estimators and Project Controls).
    • Ensure continuous development and improvement of Client's policies,procedures, and resources for all cost and related controls services.
    • Work closely with the Scheduling Team to ensure integrationand alignment of cost models and schedules.
    • Aid in thedevelopment of benchmarking database and reporting process to providetimely and accurate advice to inform decision making.

    Requirements ( Desirable ):

    • Memberof the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, ACostE, ICES orsimilar relevant professional association and NVQ Level 3 in ProjectControls.
    • Degree or equivalent experience or achieved NVQLevel 2 in Project Controls.
    • Quantity surveying skills andcomprehensive understanding of the construction industry.
    • Familiarity of government initiatives and policies.
