    Art Teacher Position

    Job Title: Art Educator

    Location: Wells, Somerset, England

    Type of Contract: Full-time (0.8 FTE possible for the right candidate)

    Beginning: Starting in September 2024

    Compensation: MPS/UPS + TLR 2.2 (presently at £5,347 a year)

    About the Institution: We are a coed high school in Wells, Somerset, dedicated to nurturing imagination, self-expression, and admiration for diverse artistic expressions in our students.

    Key Duties:

    • Design engaging lesson plans and curricula for art courses.
    • Collaborate with fellow educators to enrich interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
    • Establish clear learning goals and organize relevant educational resources.
    • Foster creativity and self-discovery in students.
    • Lead students in exploring different art styles and techniques.

    Expectations:

    • Stay updated on pertinent curriculum advancements.
    • Supervise students' projects in the art department.
    • Consistently assess and enhance the variety of learning experiences provided to students.
    • Monitor classes to ensure a supportive and respectful learning atmosphere.
    • Procure art materials and uphold a well-stocked art studio.

    The role commences in September 2024, and the chosen candidate must undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide suitable references.
