Education Mental Health Practitioner - Norwich, United Kingdom - University of East Anglia

    Default job background
    Part time, Permanent
    Description

Starting salary from £37,099 per annum (pro rata), dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £44,263 per annum (pro rata)

We are seeking to appoint to the post of Educational Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) Lecturer (1.4FTE total). You will form part of an expanding and dynamic team delivering the EMHP Trainee and Supervisor programmes at UEA.

The UEA EMHP programme began in 2020 and received BPS Accreditation in 2023. The UEA EMHP team has excellent links to other EMHP courses across the country, and direct representation on national curriculum and BPS accreditation committees. You will be able to draw on expertise from a range of colleagues, as well as established relationships with stakeholders in regional and national services, and education settings.

The post is open to clinicians who have relevant experience in the delivery of low intensity CBT in child/youth/adult clinical services. We particularly welcome applications from those with a formal low intensity CBT qualification, and experience of delivering low intensity CBT supervision. Under the leadership of the EMHP Programme Director and Supervisor Course Lead, you will use your knowledge and experience to support the development and delivery of EMHP Trainee and EMHP Supervisor programme content, teaching, and assessment processes. You are expected to have a strong understanding of low intensity evidence-based practice in child and adolescent mental health, and the practical delivery of evidence-based low intensity CBT interventions.

You will demonstrate an ability to prioritise workload and flexibility to ensure timely delivery. Teaching is currently delivered using a hybrid approach of in person teaching at UEA and online teaching. Some elements of programme delivery may be off site (either in person or online).

For further information about the EMHP role and training curricula please see:

PPN - Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP)

We very much invite and welcome any informal enquiries about these roles prior to application.

The posts are available from 15 July 2024 ideally on a part-time basis (up to 1.4FTE). Please confirm in your supporting statement your preferred working hours (to exclude Monday). The appointments will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service, including a check of the Child and Adult Barred Lists.

UEA offers a variety of flexible working options and we encourage applications from individuals who would prefer a flexible working pattern including annualised hours, compressed working hours, part time, job share, term-time only and/or hybrid working. Details of preferred hours should be stated in the personal statement and will be discussed further at interview.

We strongly encourage applications from all those from Black, Asian or other minority ethnic backgrounds and welcome applications from all protected groups as defined by the Equality Act 2010. Appointment will be made on merit.

Further information on our great benefits package, including 44 days annual leave inclusive of Bank Holidays and additional University Customary days (pro rata for part-time), can be found on our benefits page.

    Closing date: 3 June 2024

The University holds an Athena Swan Silver Institutional Award in recognition of our advancement towards gender equality.
