    Are you ready to join a team Automating a more Sustainable Tomorrow?

    We are looking for Control System Engineer to join our team and looking for someone with a sense for adventure. The role's base will be at Mallusk, Northern Ireland, but the person will need full autonomy to travel worldwide when supporting our world class clients developing and commissioning our autonomous mining equipment.

    Core Skills:

    We are looking for someone who is passionate about automation and has:

    • HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering or equivalent, with particular emphasis in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Automation & Control Systems, Mechatronic Engineering, and/or Electrical Engineer
    • Proven experience and ability working with automated control and electrical systems
    • Ability to design from specification through to implementation
    • Ideally 5+ years of Codesys V3.5 programming experience
    • Be able to produce technical solutions and troubleshoot
    • Experience in industrial internet / Industry 4.0
    • IFM / TT controls experience highly desirable
    • SolidWorks Electrical & SAP experience is desirable
    • Commissioning and start up experience of industrial automation equipment
    • Knowledge and experience working with process controls of mobile vehicle equipment / hydraulics
    • Experience with drill rigs
    • Current valid driver's licence

    Projects / Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for assigned R&D and engineering tasks
    • Compliance of Company safety standards
    • Technical coordination and support with the engineering and other departments in the Company
    • Design and development of PLC control systems to integrate with mechanical and hydraulic designs
    • Working knowledge of PLCs, sensor, actuators, and instrumentation hardware for component selection
    • Ability to work closely with other team members
    • Ensure all designs are fully documented in models, drawings and bill of materials
    • Perform a variety of calculations to substantiate design and show necessary design details, section views, and dimensions of production drawings
    • Enter item master specifications and bill of materials into the ERP / MRP system to complement production drawings
    • Conduct cross-function design reviews
    • Follow the Engineering strategic plan as outlined by the Project Manager
    • Provide support and work closely with other departments as needed
