Job Title: Chief Financial Officer – Professional Services Business (PE BACKED)

Salary: £180,000 - £225,000 + Bonus + Equity | London (Hybrid)

The Opportunity: Our client, a leading professional services business operating across the UK and parts of Europe, backed by private equity, is seeking an experienced and high-quality Chief Financial Officer. This is an exceptional opportunity for a strategic financial leader to join a fast-paced and growing organization poised for expansion through both organic growth and mergers & acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic direction and oversight to the finance function, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities.
Collaborate closely with the executive team to drive business growth initiatives, including identifying and evaluating M&A opportunities, by offering valuable financial insights and analysis.
Develop and implement robust financial controls and processes to support the company's growth objectives and enhance profitability.
Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and advisors, to ensure compliance and facilitate strategic decision-making.
Drive operational efficiency and performance improvements through data-driven analysis and continuous process optimization.

Requirements:

Qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA preferable.
Proven track record of success as a CFO in a professional services or related industry, preferably within a private equity-backed environment.
Experience scaling and ultimately exiting a private equity-backed business would be highly desirable.
Extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, including deal structuring, due diligence, and integration.
Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable insights for senior leadership.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization.
Operational and commercial mindset, capable of balancing strategic financial management with day-to-day operational demands.
