A long established, multidisciplinary studio based in central London is looking for an ambitious Project Manager to join their ranks. The studio is WAF award winning, offers flexible working as standard, and is currently working on landmark London projects, along with multiple, high profile competition projects. You will spearhead, facilitate and oversee the workflow and program of cutting-edge, technically intricate and innovative designs. Your role entails guiding and overseeing project execution from inception through completion and beyond. You'll play a crucial part in managing overall resources to strike a harmonious balance between design aspirations and project financial sustainability. Job description

Lead project on-boarding in collaboration with the PC team, meticulously preparing briefing documents, compiling, translating, and organising documentation where necessary.
Lead the adoption of new systems and leverage your expertise in industry best practices to enhance efficiency within the studio.
Demonstrate adaptability and encourage a flexible approach to work, fostering an environment where team members embrace change and innovation.
Establish the contractual framework by defining scope and deliverables, reviewing contractual terms and guiding the team to ensure alignment with client expectations.
Develop strategic program timelines tailored to each project stage, proactively monitoring deadlines and deliverables, and identifying opportunities for variation orders in collaboration with the Senior Project Manager.
Strategically determine the most suitable contractual terms for each project and lead negotiations as the main point of contact with clients.
Cultivate long-term collaborations with external partners, leveraging your experience to nurture these relationships and seek support when needed.
Collaborate closely with the finance team to review monthly budgets, making informed decisions regarding actual versus forecasted spending and strategically managing project finances.

Key skills

Solid background in project management within the architecture field is indispensable.
Independently draft scope documents including bids/tenders, risk assessments, and scope analysis.
Handle intricate international design ventures, particularly architectural projects involving esteemed clients and ambitious financial objectives.
Exhibit agility in decision-making, adept at gauging the atmosphere and circumstances to strategise promptly.
Demonstrate adeptness in negotiating contracts locally and globally, with key focuses spanning EMEA, USA, Hong Kong, China, and Singapore.
