    Role: Project Manager

    Location: UK as part of the EMEA consultancy team

    Hybrid working

    Permanent Position

    Templeton and Partners are on the look for a Project Manager for one of our clients who are a global organisation offering a comprehensive range of consulting services for trade lifecycle management to clients involved in energy, commodities, shipping, treasury, central banking, capital markets, and asset/investment management.

    Job Description

    • Working side-by-side with other IT teams and external parties to contribute to designing new solutions
    • Complying with established processes where required, and working across teams to define processes and documentation/training as new features and systems are implemented
    • Contribute to the definition of full testing procedures, and work with our business colleagues to plan and deliver these to ensure that newly developed functionality and newly implemented systems are fit for purpose
    • Have a holistic view of solutions and understand the wider impact
    • Participate across the organisation to deliver far-reaching programmes of transformation or initiatives across all areas of the organisation, contributing to business and technology views.
    • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects
    • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
    • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
    • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
    • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
    • Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques
    • Report and escalate to management as needed
    • Manage the relationship with the relevant stakeholders
    • Perform risk management to minimise potential risks
    • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
    • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

    Skill and Qualifications

    • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in financial technology, including leading large-scale (500+ Manday) projects successfully.
    • Knowledge of treasury or commodities platforms is required
    • Previous budget management experience is a must.
    • Proficiency in industry-standard process methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, ) is required.
    • Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal, team, customer service, negotiation, conflict management and time management skills.
    • Proficiency in industry-standard process methodologies (e.g., Agile) is required.
    • University degree with an emphasis on Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, or equivalent demonstrable experience
    • Great communication skills and an ability to build strong relationships across all organisational levels
    • Flexible team player who understands the importance of responding to change constructively
    • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, with an eye for accuracy
    • Motivated and self-starter mindset
    • Knowledge of Microservices, Cloud architecture, and Domain-driven designs is a plus
    • Experience in the energy sector in general and in trading and market analysis specifically is a desirable
    • Experience applying methodologies of Agile, design thinking, UX is an asset
    • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
