- The PwC Actuarial practice is composed of over 300 partners and staff across various locations including London, Edinburgh, Manchester, Bristol, and Mumbai.
- Our consultants specialize in non-life, life, banking, and non-insurance, led by a strong partner team of fifteen members.
- We are the largest actuarial practice among major accounting firms, globally engaging with a community of over 1000 actuarial professionals within PwC.
- We collaborate with experts from diverse disciplines within PwC to deliver comprehensive services.
- Contribute to offering general insurance advice and consulting services to various clients, including insurers, regulators, private equity firms, and related companies like agents and administrators.
- Provide expertise in solvency, economic capital, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, company restructuring, financial modeling, business planning, new legislation, and optimizing reporting processes.
- We are looking for a Manager with a background in non-life insurance to join our Actuarial practice.
- Engage in Reserving, Pricing, and/or Risk and Capital projects across different markets.
- Be open to new challenges, self-motivated, agile, and willing to expand your skills in areas like IFRS 17.
- Manage and execute various actuarial and multidisciplinary assignments concurrently.
- Interact with clients as the main point of contact on projects.
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and with colleagues from network firms globally.
- Contribute to strategic management by developing core product areas and training programs.
- Mentor and support the development of junior staff members.
- Prior experience as a general insurance consultant or in delivering significant actuarially related projects within the industry.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing actuarial or multidisciplinary projects, including team development, project delivery, and budget management.
- A solid understanding of reserving and pricing techniques, regulatory issues, financial reporting, and risk and capital management.
- Experience with Solvency II or IFRS 17 implementation would be advantageous.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
- Awareness of broader business challenges in the insurance industry.
- Encourage inclusive communication and seek input from all team members.
- Effectively navigate through ambiguous situations and provide solutions.
- Initiate coaching conversations at all levels openly and constructively.
- Balance strategic thinking with attention to detail.
- Anticipate stakeholder needs and propose solutions proactively.
