    Description
    Director of IT Department: IT Employment Type: Full Time Location: Leeds, UK Description:
    • As Director of IT, you will provide strategic leadership to enhance the effectiveness, growth, and international expansion of the business.
    • Owning and implementing the IT strategy, you will plan and deliver current and future IT requirements to support the business strategy.
    • As the custodian of the technology infrastructure and Support team, you will deliver a high-quality IT service, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, stable, and robust.
    • Drawing upon your experience in building IT environments and scaling architecture, you will ensure the infrastructure and security remain fit-for-purpose and scaled appropriately for the business needs, driving change and improvements.
    • Leading the dynamic IT team with integrity, you will champion career development and cultivate a high-performing team to serve the company's future goals.
    We are open to both Hybrid and Home-based working for this role. The role will require working from the Leeds office on a fortnightly basis. Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide strategic knowledge, experience, and an innovative approach to IT.
    • Collaborate closely with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to develop the IT strategy and provide leadership on projects.
    • Establish a people strategy for the IT team, managing, developing, and expanding the team in alignment with the business strategy and budget.
    • Oversee the provision of a high-quality IT Support service and maintain responsibility for the architecture, delivery, security, resiliency, and maintenance of the infrastructure.
    • Develop reliable processes, monitoring, controls, metrics, and KPIs for effective management of the team and systems.
    • Ensure an efficient cyber security programme within the business, addressing security vulnerabilities and implementing strategic solutions for data security.
    Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:
    • Extensive experience in a senior IT management position, overseeing technology teams and providing inspirational leadership.
    • Expert-level understanding and experience with large Azure-based infrastructures and Microsoft 365.
    • Strong understanding of computer systems, security, network administration, databases, and telecommunications systems.
    • Proficiency in IT project and change management, with a track record of successful project delivery.
    • Experience in a regulated environment with knowledge of Operational Resilience regulations is preferred.
    • Significant experience in planning, implementing, and managing complex IT infrastructures.
