The Director of Programmes is an integral member of the management team and plays a critical role in delivering success for Socitm Advisory. The purpose of this role is to provide exceptional leadership and direction for major programme delivery. You will lead the Programme teams to engage confidently and passionately with clients to built trust and credibility and excite customers about the value that Socitm Advisory can deliver.

The Programme teams will be responsible for delivery excellence, from programme initiation to successful programme delivery completion. Specific focus will be on client retention across all accounts, with clients experiencing an exceptional delivery experience, based on trust, outstanding stakeholder engagement, high quality deliverables and the resolution of complex programme related challenges in an effective manner.

The Director of Programmes will lead, manage and coach the Team Leads (line management) and Programme Leads (those leading specific programmes into clients). They will provide inspirational leadership and management to their teams. The role requires significant expertise in sophisticated management and scheduling of large scale, complex portfolios of work, ensuring the right prioritisation is achieved to deliver our clients and our own business goals. Working collaboratively across our business you will ensure that we have the correct resources, methodologies, and stakeholder engagement in place deliver exceptional results for our clients and for our business.

The Director of Programmes is responsible for ensuring we have the right skills and expertise to deliver the ERP and Digital & Services Transformation (D&ST) propositions, within our chosen markets.

The Director of Programmes holds ultimate accountability for our delivery of the programmes. You will be responsible for ensuring programmes are delivered on time and budget and that client expectations are managed and met or exceeded. The role therefore requires consistent and relentless drive to ensure clients receive high quality services and deliverables aligned to the budget and within the contracted framework.

Reporting to the CEO, you will hold key relationships with the Executive Team in delivering the oversight of the Company's portfolio of major programmes.

The Director of Programmes will ensure the programme teams support the Sales Team Account Directors for programme-related new business and account growth opportunities.

The Director of Programmes will work closely with the Consulting Director to engage the consulting team within programmes where expert consulting support is required and appropriate.

Client Engagement

• Develop and nurture senior stakeholder relationships across the programme portfolio.
• Oversee the planning, management and delivery of programmes.
• Become a trusted and credible advisor to the customers, stakeholders and employees within.
• Represent Socitm Advisory through client Executive and Director-level governance, such as Strategic Boards.
• Develops and nurtures great relationships with senior and executive client stakeholders. Energetic, passionate and enthusiastic – able to generate excitement and buy-in from prospective clients.
• Oversee and ensure programmes are delivered on time and budget and that client expectations are managed and met or exceeded
• Demonstrate, and instil in the team, a consistent and relentless drive to ensure clients receive high quality services and deliverables aligned to the budget and within the contracted framework.
• Responsible for overseeing and managing the commercial delivery of Programmes.
• Responsible for setting and monitoring the standards of performance, and quality of work delivered.
• Is a role model to the Programmes Team.
• Ensure the programme teams support the Sales Team Account Directors for programme-related new business and account growth opportunities.
• Work closely with the Consulting Director and their teams to identify areas where the consulting team can add value to customer engagements to enhance the successful delivery of larger programmes.
• Billable for 50% of their time.

Operations & Governance

• Is responsible for managing, reporting on and achieving the Programmes Team's objectives including: revenue contribution, cashflow, profitability of programmes, consultant billable utilisation, client satisfaction and client testimonials.
• Work closely with Consulting, Sales, Portfolio, Resourcing and HR to accurately identify and plan future resource demand.
• Evaluate and address performance by analysing and interpreting relevant data and metrics.
• Develops, oversees and ensures the Programmes adhere to repeatable, standardized delivery methodologies.
• Deliver and instill sophisticated management and scheduling of large scale, complex portfolios of work, ensuring the right prioritisation is achieved to deliver our clients and our own business goals.
• Work collaboratively across our business to ensure that we have the correct resources, methodologies, and stakeholder engagement in place deliver exceptional results for our clients and for our business.
• Oversee, manage and mitigate programme risks.
• Evaluate programme performance by analysing and interpreting relevant data and metrics.
• Be a role model for all internal processes.

Talent Management

• Engage fully with building and developing a proactive retention culture which leads to high team retention, engagement and cohesion.
• Play a lead in the attraction, engagement, development and motivation of high-performance delivery teams.
• Support career development and succession planning, ensuring effective staff development plans are in place and reviewed regularly.
• Leads-by-example to develop and motivate a high-performance team, attracting and recruiting new talent.
• Identifies resource/expertise gaps and works with the Resourcing team to close.
• Lead, manage, coach and develop direct reports.
• Hold direct reports to account to achieve their targets. Confidently, proactively, and formally address all levels of performance. Address performance or behavioural issues with individuals in an effective and timely manner.
