University College London Hospitals is seeking to appoint a 6 PA Consultant Gynaecologist to join our Endometriosis service within our Gynaecology service.

In the Department there is a commitment to high quality patient care, innovative service models, delivery of performance targets, and excellence in education/training.


The aims of the post:


  • To ensure continuity of high quality multidisciplinary medical and surgical management for endometriosis and pelvic pain
  • To participate in research and education
  • To contribute to the UCLH general gynaecology service.
The job plan will contain 6 programmed activities per week.

The post will comprise 6 PAs each week, including outpatient clinics and operating lists.

In addition the post holder will need to carry out supporting clinical work including in-patient ward rounds and cover for daytime emergency work.

They will take part in the on-going audit and research within the team. They will participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. They will complete the necessary CPD activity with the RCOG.

The UCLH Endometriosis Service


We are a BSGE accredited center and provide high quality care for women with endometriosis, and attract local, regional and national referrals.

We run a multidisciplinary service with input from specialists in colorectal surgery, endo urology, functional reconstructive urology, gastroenterology, pain management and radiology.

We run a fortnightly MDT. We have a nurse specialist team and work with physiotherapy.

  • To participate in the endometriosis service
  • To ensure continuity of high quality multidisciplinary medical and surgical management for women with endometriosis.
  • To develop a gynaecological pain service.
  • To contribute to the UCLH general gynaecology service.
  • To contribute to Minimal Access surgical training
  • To contribute to the gynaecology consultant on call rota.
  • To lead on gynaecology guidelines
