As lead midwife at a local community clinic, you will work as part of a team to support women and babies before, during and after birth.
antenatal care and support with home birthing, for women and families within Camden, Islington, Barbican and Sohosupport for women within our birthing centre in the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson wing, next to University College Hospital
post-natal care, in-clinic and via home/community visits.
A shift pattern including night and weekend working is in place at the birthing centre this attracts a pay supplement.
You will probably already be working as a Band 6 midwife and looking to broaden your skills and experience.
Applications are also accepted from midwives currently working at Band 5 who have completed their preceptorship.As lead midwife at a local community clinic, you will work as part of a team to support women and babies before, during and after birth.

To work according to the NMC Code and relevant professional guidelines as a midwife with facilitation for a defined group of women and their babies with minimal supervision in the Maternity Care setting.

To promote and participate in the implementation of the UCLH Nursing Midwifery strategy:
