    Manager, Quality Assurance and Technical Operations

    Location: UK Based - Travel 50% of the time.

    The Job

    • Work with the physical service provider that supports the WFS RFP offer to ensure the contractual requirements are met.
    • Work with Customer representatives, at times onsite at the physical service provider location, to address questions on the submitted documentation.
    • Develop Quality Management Plan templates to be used to support various customer supply scenarios so supporting RFP requirement documents can be quickly developed.
    • Stay up to date on industry and customer technical requirements and practises to quickly respond to customer or service provider technical questions or issues.

    Geographic Scope & Travel Requirements

    • Position requires periodic North American and International travel.
    • Must be prepared to work outdoors in a petroleum storage and handling environment.

    Success and performance are measured through objective analysis and performance of assigned duties through oversight from Director, QA and TA and feedback from:

    Education Required

    High school education with EXTENSIVE on-the-job training may be adequate for specific candidates. Aviation specific educational programs can be advantageous but not necessary. Military aviation experience highly valued.

    Work Experience Required

    • 10 plus years work experience in commercial or military aircraft fuel into plane refuelling services.
    • Ideal candidate would have extensive working knowledge of industry regulations from ASTM, DLA, NATO or UK MOD and others.
    • Minimum of 3 years managing personnel at a middle management level at an airport fuelling operation.
    • Knowledge and experience in developing and presenting operational and fuel quality training programs and airport site auditing is essential.
    • Have acquired training in performing JIG inspections practices is preferable but not required.
    • Being a currently qualified JIG Inspector is preferable but not required.

    Technical Skills & Specific Knowledge Required

    Sound mechanical experience with aviation fuel handling systems and operations relevant to fuelling equipment and into-plane functions is highly valued. Experience working within Hazardous environments and with known carcinogens is desirable.
