    Description

    Mechanical Supervisor – Shell & Core - Fit- Out Commercial Offices

    The successful Mechanical Supervisor will have a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established Market leader in the building services market, underpinned by their strong brand and long trading history. The business generates a turnover of over £100m with project values average of £30m MEP value. The client offers genuine career progression and ongoing support and training.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • To supervise the Commercial Office Fit-Out Mechanical Project from conception through to delivery - Major plant, riser, distribution, water and air system installations.
    • Ensuring that the highest consideration is given to complying with current regulations and in line with specific client requirements
    • Ensure the safety standards are understood, implemented and maintained by all team members and Contractors
    • Assist the on-site construction team; ensure Sub-contractors work to the programme, construction sequence and ensure efficient deployment when pro-actively allocating work
    • Overseeing the work of directly employed Mechanical and external Contractors
    • Implement and monitor the project to ensure it is engineered to the highest standard
    • Take ownership of Mechanical issues
    • Ensure appropriate quality and workmanship
    • Produce rotas for the Operative team
    • Reporting of all Health and Safety issues
    • Manage the issue and upkeep of PPE to the team
    Qualifications & Skills Required

    * Relevant City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or above

    * SSSTS

    • Experience as a Mechanical Supervisor serving at a Tier-1 M&E Contractor
    • Large-Scale Commercial Project Experience
    • Ability to influence and drive positive attitudes and behaviours with regards to site Health and Safety on site
    • Good IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word
    • Essential knowledge of relevant Health and Safety requirements and Mechanical Safe Systems of Work
    • Good understanding of Building services, including design principles, method statements, inspection test plans, risk assessments, commissioning, and handover requirements
    • Good Team Player
    Salary & Package

    £55,000 to £60,000 plus travel expenses, plus package
