    £40000 per annum Hybrid working pattern on offer

    Location:
    Hull with hybrid option

    A major client of ours in Hull has an opening in their finance team for an experienced accountant to take on a varied role offering a hybrid working week split between the office and home.

    Candidates may be qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountants or studying part qualifieds.

    This role may suit a candidate looking to make the move away from practice into industry, as well as candidates already working in a commercial environment.

    Responsible for management and maintenance of general ledger, product groups and costs centres, including timely and accurate processing of items and adjustments.

    Provide analysis of financial performance, including variance analysis against budget/forecast and prior year.

    Prepare and post general ledger journals for revenue and costs, including output from legacy systems with accrual and deferral of revenue and costs as appropriate.

    Account for and report project performance throughout the project lifecycle.
    Maintain fixed asset register, including addition of new assets in a timely fashion.

    Review profit and loss and balance sheet accounts for assigned cost centres, ensuring reported performance fairly reflects the underlying performance of the business and its position at the balance sheet date.

    Routine analysis, reporting and GL maintenance
    SG&A and overhead analysis, and cost centre reporting.
    Carry out balance sheet reconciliations for all assigned balance sheet accounts. Review, investigate and resolve reconciling items between financial accruals and third party or system data.
    Provide input to statutory reporting and tax packs as necessary.

    You are a qualified/passed finalist ACA/ACCA/CIMA experienced accountant or a part qualified studier looking for progression with a company where talent is valued and future career potential encouraged.
