    Description

    Are you a skilled accountant with experience at the Financial Controller level? We are assisting a new client in Hull with a rapidly growing business to find their first Financial Controller.

    If you enjoy working in the SME sector where your expertise can truly make a difference, then this role might be ideal for you. The company values high ethics, integrity, and a collaborative work environment.




    THE ROLE:
    - Responsible for daily financial control, working closely with Directors
    - Ensure compliance with UK FRS financial regulations, report and prepare financial statements, handle VAT matters
    - Ability to enhance systems and processes to boost efficiencies and meet deadlines
    - Supervise an experienced accounts assistant


    THE CANDIDATE:
    If you are a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with prior experience as a Financial Controller, this role is for you. Comfortable with KPIs, technically proficient, and capable of communicating financial information clearly to non-finance team members. Preferably, you have a background in professional practice followed by industry experience, specifically in the SME sector. A great communicator enjoying business collaboration and the technical side of accounting. Eager to contribute ideas, solve challenges, meet deadlines, and be part of a company on a positive growth path. This role offers potential for future career advancement.


    THE COMPANY:
    A privately owned SME based in Hull, showing consistent growth year over year.


    SALARY:
    £70,000 - £75,000 (based on experience)
