- Exceptional Service: Be the primary point of contact for member feedback, handling any queries or team conflicts immediately to enhance overall dining experience.
- Team Development: Training new bartenders and barbacks, as well as providing ongoing guidance and support to existing staff. Supervising the bar team during shifts to ensure quality service.
- Service Standards: Produce beautiful hot and cold drinks for members following agreed recipes and SOP's, ensuring impeccable presentation and efficient service.
- Compliance: Ensure the bar operates in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including those related to alcohol service, health and safety, and sanitation.
- Menu Development: Collaborate with management to create and update drink menus, including crafting new cocktails, and ensuring that offerings are both appealing to customers and profitable for the establishment.
- Safety & Security: Maintain a safe and secure environment for the team and members. Enforcing responsible drinking policies and taking appropriate action in the event of any incidents or emergencies.
- Accomplished mixology skills and passion for craft; strong barista skills or willingness to learn
- Enthusiastic with lots of energy, able to stay composed under pressure
- Understanding of luxury lifestyle market and experience in fast-paced, multi-outlet businesses

About Us
The Roof Gardens were originally created in the Art Deco period and opened in 1933. In the late 60's the building was taken over by fashion powerhouse Biba and was the pulse of Swinging London. 100 ft high above Kensington High Street, set across 3 floors with over an acre of gardens, The Roof Gardens will be a next generation members club that is future-facing, committed to innovation and community, to discovery and to delight. The club will open in Spring/Summer 2024 as a world-leading members' club affording its community beautiful gardens, bars, restaurants and events spaces alongside a visionary cultural and music programme.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Head Bartender to join The Roof Gardens. You will be leading and developing a highly trained, charismatic team whose collective goal is to deliver excellence to our members and create drinks which are immaculately and imaginatively executed.
You will be proud to uphold the club's service standards, and deliver beautiful and delicious drinks, every time. We seek somebody with solid experience in high-end drinks service environments, an impeccable demeanour, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You should have a great eye for detail too and be conscientious in the execution of your duties.
