Job Purpose:
The Student Services Officer will have a detailed awareness of the College's Student Services department, policies, and processes. The role holder should be highly organised and able to multitask with ease and coordinate with staff and students.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Act as the first point of contact for prospective and existing students, answering inquiries and dealing with queries.
- Assist Student Services Department in arranging and conducting Induction.
- Manage and maintain student files, ensuring that all relevant statutory documentation is contained therein and that such files are kept in excellent order to meet the demands of internal and external inspection.
- Manage student attendance, letters, and pastoral support. Making sure attendance timetables are available to students and staff.
- Answer the phone in a professional and helpful manner.
- Work as a team for arranging student Digital Skills sessions. (APP Target)

- Access and Participation Plan. Work as a team to achieve SSD
- Student Services Department Targets.
- Ensure a professional and efficient service is provided to students, staff, and visitors.
- Ensure professional and quality service standards are maintained and applied within your own area of activity.
- Monitor compliance with agreed standards, report outcomes, and make recommendations for improvements to contribute to the continuous operational improvement of the Student Services department.
- Process student data record and communication on LIMS and Quercus, generate letters checking attendance, attendance code semester wise and etc.
- Ad hock duties as and when required.
Essential Skills and Characteristics_
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Proven communications skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to communicate with a wide variety of individuals
- Experience planning and progressing work within general guidelines, using initiative and judgment.
- Ability to define priorities and work flexibly and effectively under pressure to meet demanding and often conflicting deadlines
Desirable Skills and Characteristics, but not necessary_
- Awareness of developments in higher education that impact the work of the Student Services Team
- Experience with dealing with highly confidential, sensitive information
- Educated to Level 6 or equivalent
Salary:
£24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
