Description

This is a great opportunity for someone with a good grounding in marketing principles to develop, absorb and become well versed in all aspects of marketing management. Key to this role is the ability to work on multiple projects at any one time, to help deliver powerful marketing campaigns and collateral across multiple sectors and be able to monitor and maximise the impact of key events and campaigns.

Most of all, we want someone who is hungry and passionate, gets things done, but with a good eye for detail; someone who will readily engage with the wider business and get stuck in to ensure we deliver great campaigns that achieve their objectives. The key activities we expect in this role include:

Working closely with the Marketing Manager to support all marketing activities
Writing content for collateral and proof-reading copy
Planning and executing all aspects of events and exhibitions
Coordinating campaign activities
Developing new messaging for new and existing markets
Providing some in-house graphic design capabilities
Supporting inbound email marketing activity
Managing the database of contacts
Measuring and reporting on campaign effectiveness
Managing website posts and content
Ability to create and execute Social Media Posts
Setting up Webinars/Podcasts
Other duties as required by management

Skills and Competencies:

Proficient in (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Proficient in InDesign and Photoshop
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Passionate about marketing with a desire to learn and share knowledge
Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage time effectively
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Meticulous attention to detail and quality

Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas - if required

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

3+ years in a marketing role
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comprehensive knowledge of inbound marketing strategies and techniques
Strong content creation skills with the ability to simplify technology solutions
Proficient in using analytics tools to evaluate campaigns
Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram)
Proven track record of achieving exceptional campaign results
Ability to quickly analyse and interpret data
Highly numerate and literate, capable of producing quality reports
Highly organised with strong time management skills
Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
Experience of marketing automation platforms
Experience of using CRM systems
Educated to degree level (business or technology-related degree or equivalent professional qualification)
Blogging or writing posts experience
Vocational marketing qualification (e.g. IDM / CIM)

Additional Information

The postholder will be based at our Milton Keynes office. A clean driving licence is highly desirable, as there will be a requirement to travel across parts of the UK. Overnight stays away from home may be necessary on occasions, and overseas travel may be required from time to time to attend international exhibitions or visit partners.
