    Job Summary

    Responsible for building a plasma donor base, to maximise increased plasma collection, to serve patients in need. This role is an integral part of the Plasma Senior Leadership Team and the Donor Experience Leadership Team. You will work collaboratively to utilise your expert knowledge around marketing, analysis, planning, communications, and engagement. Leading the development of alliances, across government, health systems and business to build advocacy for plasma donation and support for collection expansion. This role is designed to maximise the growth and retention of the plasma donor base whilst scoping the opportunities for future development and innovation.

    Main duties of the job

    In this role you will be responsible for .Your responsibilities will include:

  • Being an integral part of the Plasma Senior Leadership Team and the Donor Experience Leadership Team. They will work collaboratively across Plasma, Donor Experience and Communications, as well as other directorates, utilising their expert knowledge around analysis, planning, communications, and engagement.
  • Devising, developing, and implementing an integrated collection strategy and annual plans for the continued future growth and expansion to support the ambitions for self-sufficiency of Plasma derived medicines.
  • Leading the Plasma Communication Team and the Plasma Engagement Team.
  • Through a matrix approach, you will build strong relationships and work closely with teams and individuals across Plasma, Donor Experience and Communications team to ensure successful delivery.
  • Being responsible for leading the advocacy of Plasma for medicines with DHSC/NHSE, devolved nations, international peers and political influencers.
  • Delivering their role through interpreting wider policy and utilising their experience to translate this into delivery for both their role and that of their team.
  • Focusing on maximising the growth and retention of the Plasma donor base and collection centre expansion whilst also identifying and scoping opportunities for future development, best practice, and innovation.
  • Ensuring that there is collaboration with partners and stakeholders to deliver excellent end-to-end donor experience to build a robust and sustainable donor base, keeping the patient and donor at the heart of decision making.
  • Leading the development of alliances across government, health systems and business to build advocacy for plasma donation and support for collection expansion.
  • About You

    Experience and Knowledge

  • Extensive experience in the marketing field, with significant experience in a senior position.
  • Demonstrated experience in constructing and implementing long and nearer-term strategic plans, incorporating multiple complex inputs
  • Significant experience in leading a complex planning and/or insight service.
  • CRM experience involving a large customer base.
  • Experienced across a breadth of key strategic marketing skills (customer insight, segmentation, branding, marketing spend).
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally to secure resources and achieve common goals.
  • Significant experience managing a large team.
  • Demonstrable experience and acumen in segment-specific messaging.
  • Substantial evidence of the implementation of continuous improvements in recent roles.
  • Experience of implementing business and organisational change.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing and prioritising resources, and options appraisal
  • Experienced in managing a large budget
  • Qualifications and Training

  • Educated to Masters or equivalent experience in a relevant area such as marketing or analytics, plus additional senior-management experience in a related function,
  • Post Graduate level Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma or equivalent experience at a senior level.
  • Demonstrate commitment to own Continued Professional Development (CPD).
