    Role Overview

    What to Expect in Your New Position

    AECOM is currently seeking Senior Civil Engineers to collaborate on a project with Caledonia Water Alliance, a partnership with Morrison Water Services, to execute Scottish Water's SR21 Water and Wastewater Infrastructure program. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Offering technical design support to a diverse team encompassing Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Geotechnical, and Environmental disciplines
    • Providing technical guidance throughout civil projects, from design to implementation, in alignment with Scottish Water and Water Industry standards
    • Conducting on-site visits, non-intrusive surveys, and inspection evaluations
    • Developing and reviewing design strategies, calculations, drawings, and technical documentation while adhering to SW Specification & Standards and CDM Health & Safety protocols
    • Supervising and mentoring junior engineers, collaborating with the construction team to address project challenges
    • Engaging with clients to secure relevant technical approvals, staying updated on industry best practices, and proposing innovations when suitable
    • Adhering to CWA Quality Assurance protocols

    Team Environment

    In this role, you will play a pivotal role in the Enhancing Urban Waters initiative for Scottish Water and contribute to flood prevention and infrastructure maintenance projects under the SR21 wastewater framework across Scotland. The projects will involve various components such as CSO's, storm storage tanks, rising mains, SUDs, sewer rehabilitation, and pipe bridges.

    You will collaborate with a diverse group of approximately 30 Civil Engineers and CAD Technicians, receiving support from specialized Designers within the AECOM and CWA networks.

    Requirements

    Qualifications for Consideration

    • BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering
    • Prior experience in water or wastewater infrastructure is advantageous, but related sectors will be considered
    • Solid proficiency in industry standards, CDM Regulations, and progressing towards Chartered or Incorporated Engineering status (CEng/ IEng), or comparable relevant experience
